Description
The small Puebla campsite is situated on the Embalse de José Torán. This reservoir is located on the bird migration route to Tarifa. As spring progresses, a large part of the reservoir dries up, allowing you to make beautiful walks inside the reservoir. Especially during the autumn migration the (empty) reservoir is visited by hundreds of Stor Præstekrave and Lille Præstekrave, 3 species of Gul Vipstjert, countless Rødrygget Svale, as well as Klippesvale, Bysvale, Digesvale and Landsvale. Hærfugl can be seen in large numbers. Blå Glente hunts every day, often with 2 or 3 individuals.
In spring and summer the campsite has breeding Rødrygget Tornskade, Husrødstjert, Rødstjert, Broget fluesnapper, Grå Fluesnapper, Sydlig Stor Tornskade, Spansk Spurv, 4 species of tits, Stor Flagspætte, Lille Flagspætte and Grønspætte. The Spansk Kejserørn and Gåsegrib breed in the vicinity of the campsite. Slangeørn, Dværgørn and Fiskeørn are also frequently seen, as are Sort Glente and Rød Glente.
Located between Seville and Cordoba, the small campsite is an excellent place to stay surrounded by nature. There are a huge variety of birds to spot on and around the campsite. If you stay for a few days, you can easily see 80 species of birds up close.
