Description
Les Basses d'en Coll is an important wetland reserve with 191 species seen. Winter wildfowl including Hvidøjet And, Stor Flamingo, Sultanhøne, Skestork and Vandrikse. Gulls including Middelhavs-sølvmåge. Also Purpurhejre, Drosselrørsanger, Bjergpiber, Høgeørn, Duehøg and Gåsegrib. Skopolis Skråpe and Balearskråpe offshore. In the fields and trees Sydlig Nattergal, Ellekrage, Toplærke and Helena-astrild.

Access
Reserve is a 8 km walk south from Estartit along the beach. By car it's 19 km. From the main road between Palafrugell to Torroella, head east at Mas Carles and look for viewing platform. There are campsites north and south. The beach gets busy so summer visits are not recommended. No buses nearby.
