Description

The Faro de Buenavista lighthouse serves as a key migratory observatory. Thousands of birds on their journey to Antarctica are recorded here during autumn migration. Including species such as Havterne. The site is ideal for spotting shearwaters, petrels, and other shorebirds.

Access

Faro de Buenavista is located just north of the town of Buenavista. The lighthouse is accessed via the mountain road that starts from Buenavista in the north of the island of Tenerife. Press P on the map for directions.
