With a bit of luck you will see seven heron species within an hour.
The walk around the lagoon of La Bassa is about 5 km. Don't just look at the reeds and the water. The exterior is also interesting. The canals and the edges of the rice fields are home to an incredible number of birds. Also look up regularly. The Rørhøg forages over the area and the Fiskeørn feeds in the fish-rich lagoon. If you follow the walk in a counterclockwise direction, you can still decide to walk along the beach to the watchtower of El Goleró. If you just walk along the beach back to the car, you will also see an abundance of beach birds. With a bit of luck you'll see here Dværghejre.

La Bassa is only accessible from L'Ampolla via a dirt road, El Passeig de l'Arenal. The road ends at restaurant El Goleró. Park on the side of the road.
