Description
Baixador de Vallvidrera is located in Collserola Natural Park, in a forest area with pines, holly oaks and oaks, and a dense shrub undergrowth. The best way to visit the area is by walking, just following the path that starts close to the train station, and enters to the natural park. During the walk the Information Center of the Parc can be reached, and close to it there is a restaurant.
The most wanted species of the area is the exotic Sangtimalie, usually found in areas with dense undergrowth. Several interesting forest species can be heard and seen: Iberisk Grønspætte, Stor Flagspætte, Lille Flagspætte, Spætmejse, and with luck Vendehals is present during the breeding season. Spurvehøg and Musvåge are the most abundant raptor species, while Tårnfalk and Duehøg can also be seen.
In summer some interesting breeding species are Pirol, Bjergløvsanger, and Sydlig Nattergal.

Baixador de Vallvidrera is located in Collserola Natural Park, close to Barcelona. The site can be reached by car or by train (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat) at the train station “Baixador de Vallvidrera” (1). Park the car in the parking of the train station, or nearby. Press P on the map for directions. The circular walking route shown on the map is about 1,2 km.
