A beautiful gorge with rapids and waterfalls where you can find, among others Vandstær and Bjergvipstjert.
Vintgar Gorge is a 1.6 km gorge on the edge of Triglav National Park. Carved by the Radovna River, it is the continuation of the Radovna Valley. The canyon walls are 50 to 100 meters high. The stream has created pools and rapids, and terminates in the Šum Falls, the largest river waterfall in Slovenia. The narrow gorge has a path with wooden planks that you walk in one direction. The way back is through the forest. Among the birds you can encounter are Munk, Hvid Vipstjert, Vandstær and Bjergvipstjert.
