Lake Bruje is the most beautiful lake on the Fruška Gora mountain.
Lake Bruje, or Erdevik's Lake, is an artificial lake on the southwestern slopes of Fruška Gora mountain. It is surrounded by dense deciduous forests, mostly oak, beech, and linden. There is an asphalt road around the lake and to the old Roman army bath north of the lake. Also worth visiting is the forest meadow Kosača to the northwest. West of the lake is a large hunting ground Vorovo with European Bison, but it is not open to the public.
Birds on the lake include Knopsvane (breeding on the lake), Toppet Lappedykker, and ducks, mostly Gråand. On the hilly slopes around the lake are Pirol, Turteldue, Sangdrossel, and many other common species.
The only access to Lake Bruje is from the nearby town of Erdevik. Press P on the map for directions to a parking.
The lake is a popular summer destination for locals visiting the beach on hot sunny days, especially on weekends.
There is a popular winery and restaurant a couple of hundred meters southwest of the lake.
