Swan Lake is a place of mass wintering of Sangsvane and other waterfowl. This is a unique phenomenon for Siberia.
You can observe waterfowl in the reserve from November to the end of March in the entourage of the Siberian winter, sometimes it is at a temperature of minus forty degrees and below. The main mass of birds is a Sangsvane and Gråand. But you can also see Hvinand, Stor Skallesluger, in small numbers there are Knopsvane and Pibesvane. Numerous Vandstær feed along the banks of ice-free streams. Here you can see Long-tailed Rosefinches, Azurmejse, Slagugle, Grey Bullfinch and other Siberian birds.
There is an air service from Moscow to Barnaul, then the best option is a taxi. You can rent a car (from Barnaul to the reserve is 220 km). There are hotels near the reserve.
