Description
Former tidal mills have created these tidal wetlands that attract many water birds. The area is a salt marsh with the formentioned tidal mills on the end of Rio Coina. Very nice are the Helena-astrild that can be seen here as well as waders and other water-driven birds.

The parking lot at cafeteria Bagga in Alhos Vedros on Estrada Nacional 11-1 is 500 m from the tidal mill that is just before the area. See circular walk of about 3 km that is indicated on the map and will take roughly 1 to 1.5 hours.
