Description
This small reservoir near the village of Entradas offers a good opportunity to observe, from the shade of the nearby eucalyptus trees, several species of birds, especially aquatic birds. Notable among these are Sort Stork, occasionally seen here, especially in late summer and autumn, Toppet Lappedykker, Vibe, Lille Præstekrave, Svaleklire , and several species of ducks, including Rødhovedet And. Flocks of Kohejre are also common along the reservoir's banks.

Português: Este pequeno açude junto à vila de Entradas oferece uma boa oportunidade de observar, a partir da sombra do grupo de eucaliptos presentes no local, diversas espécies de aves, especialmente aquáticas. Destacam-se a tímida e rara Cegonha-preta, aqui ocasionalmente presente sobretudo no final do Verão e no Outono, o Mergulhão-de-crista, o Abibe , o Borrelho-pequeno-de-coleira , o Maçarico-bique-bique , bem como diversas espécies de patos, entre as quais por vezes o Pato-de-bico-vermelho . É também comum a ocorrência, nas margens do açude, de bandos de Carraceiros.

Follow the IP2 highway, turning at the sign for the village of Entradas. Then, circle the village toward the Torre de Água/Queijaria Charrua. Continue on the road until you reach the picnic area. Press P on the map for directions.
