Description
Rakutowskie Lake Reserve ( Rakutowskie Muds) has big gatherings of Trane in autumn. But many other interesting birds can be seen. Observation of birds in the lake can be difficult due to high reed beds and a long distance from the observation tower. The surrounding meadows and wetlands are very interesting for observation. But this is a very wet area so rubber boots can be very useful. Next to the observation tower (from summer to autumn) there is an ornithological station dealing with counting and ringing birds.

Access
The best acces by car (or bike) via an asphalt road, and then a short section on an unpaved road (about 300 m) to the observation tower. After completing the observation from the tower and exploration of the reeds, it is worth going to the neighboring village and visiting the local swamps and wet meadows. The length and difficulty of the trail depends on the chosen option. The observation area marked on the map is only a suggestion - the area of the reserve is full of such places.
