Description
Łazienki Park is spacious and full of life. Best to visit in the morning when people are not there yet. Note that it's open from 6 am. Two pairs of Natugle can be heard at night. If you ask a local birder they will be happy to show you where they spend their day. Mandarin-and, Stor Skallesluger and Gråand nest in the park. A pair of Ravn breed here every year as well.
The park is known for the many woodpecker species that can be seen here. It's difficult not to see Grønspætte, Stor Flagspætte and Mellemflagspætte on your visit. If you have a bit more luck you might see Lille Flagspætte, Sortspætte or a Syrisk Flagspætte. Various songbirds breed here, Spætmejse is very common. In May and June you might spot a Broget fluesnapper or Grå Fluesnapper in the part of the park where horses used to be held.
