Bugaj Reservoir is a great place during spring and summer time. There is a breeding colony of Fjordterne, Sortterne and Hættemåge. Two or three pairs of Rørhøg also breed there. It is also a breeding place for Knopsvane, Lille Lappedykker, Rørdrum, Skægmejse, Rørhøne and Toppet Lappedykker.
