The Oudorperpolder is located close to the Alkmaar city center. The small polder has meadows, water, mills and is very accessible. In the spring it is bursting with meadow birds and water birds such as Stor Kobbersneppe, Rødben, Dobbeltbekkasin, Sølvhejre, Skeand, Krikand, Isfugl, Grønspætte, Skægmejse, Vandrikse, Cettisanger, Fjordterne, a colony of Hættemåge, and many swallows and geese.

Nederlands: De Oudorperpolder is een kleinschalige polder op een steenworp afstand van de Alkmaarse binnenstad. De polder heeft weilanden, water, molens en is zeer toegankelijk. In het voorjaar barst het er van de weidevogels en watervogels als grutto, tureluur, watersnip, grote zilverreiger, slobeend, wintertaling, ijsvogel, groene specht, baardman, waterral, Cetti's zanger, visdief, een kolonie kokmeeuwen, en veel zwaluwen en ganzen.
Easily accessible for walker, cyclist, wheelchair and / or dog, but partly on a leash. You can go right through this area on foot, there is a circular walk of about 45 minutes and then you get close to everything. Parking on the Munnikenweg.
