The small lake Dayet Aoua is located northeast of Ifrane and is best known for the fact that the Levaillant's Woodpecker can be easily observed here.
The best chance to observe the Levaillant's Woodpecker is on the south bank in a treelined avenue. On and around the lake you can also see Dværgørn, Ørnevåge, Lille Tårnfalk and Kamblishøne. From mid-May you can also find the in the forests around the lake.
From Ifrane, head northwest on the N8 and turn right onto the P7200 after approx. 17km. After 600 meters you will already reach the lake.
