Description

Low sandy pine-forested area with picnic site and cafe. 214 species have been seen including 4 woodpecker species, Vendehals, Nøddekrige, Tjur, Pibesvane, Havlit, Havørn, Aftenfalk, Rødtoppet Fuglekonge, Hvepsevåge, Fjeldvåge, Nattergal, Hærfugl, Citronvipstjert, Savisanger, Høgesanger and Flodsanger.

Access

By road from Riga take A10 west then P120 north through Talsi. Nearest train station at Ventspils. The Cape can also be viewed from the Riga-Stockholm and Riga-Gdansk ferries.
