The trail to Monte Ceva runs through various environments of both Mediterranean scrub and chestnut woods and cultivated land. Among the birds you can encounter along the way are Natravn, Rødrygget Tornskade, Vandrefalk, Spurveugle, Stillits, Fuglekonge, Hærfugl and Skovsneppe.
