Description
Arklow Duck Pond is quite a large body of water, near the coastline with few viewing areas out into the pond. Birding is quite nice at Arklow Duck Pond since its easy to access and provides a wide arrange of waterfowl and gulls of which can be seen from the flat land near the pond. Many times birds also will go on to the car park and flat land, so its not too hard to search for them. Easy to spot Grågås, Hættemåge, Rørhøne, Knopsvane and Gråand, but also good chance to see Lille Lappedykker, Rørsanger, Munk and Fuglekonge.
