Description
Örfirisey is a reliable spot to observe the birdlife of the Reykjavík bay. Especially in the colder times of the year. Bringing your telescope, a scan of the bay and horizon might produce birds like Havlit, Topskarv, Sule, Søkonge, Strømand and Toppet Skallesluger. You might also see Rødstrubet Lom and Islom. Örfirsey has also hosted a male Amerikansk Fløjlsand every winter since 2014, proving it as a reliable spot for this vagrant. Overhead, Snespurv might pass, and along the rocks there might be Tejst.
