It's a renaturalized area next to river Neckar with several ponds of different sizes, some reed patches and a billabong
During springtime many rather common breeding birds like Rørsanger, Tornsanger, Isfugl, Grågås, Fiskehejre and single pairs of Vendehals are present. During autumn migration some Dobbeltbekkasin and Mudderklire, Vandrikse and single Individuals of Plettet Rørvagtel. High numbers of Grågås and Nilgås. In August and September some Rørsanger, Sivsanger, Drosselrørsanger and Kærsanger, many Isfugl (up to 20 Ind), some Pungmejse, Rørspurv, all three Wagtail species and a slight chance of seeing Nathejre. Later in autumn and winter different species of ducks, Skarv and Stor Skallesluger. All year present are Lille Lappedykker, Blishøne, Rørhøne, Isfugl and Vandrefalk.
Best way by car. By train it's good to have a bike, because the way from the train station is rather long.
