The Accumer See is a former quarry pond which now offers diverse habitats and where many birds can be seen.
The Accumer See is a quarry pond. In addition to a small "alluvial forest" there is a small still water and an orchard meadow. Along the embankment on the north side there are bushes that are good for warblers. There is also a nearby lake, which is surrounded by a wide belt of reeds. Unfortunately, this secondary lake is not accessible and is only visible from the edge of the Accumer lake when there is little arable vegetation. In spring, swallows can concentrate over the lake.
There is a parking lot at the edge of the lake. The path around the lake (2,5 km) can be very overgrown in summer and very muddy in autumn / winter.
