Description
You will reach the monument on your drive from Tblisi to Kazbegi, a few kilometers before the Jvari pass. It is a tourist attraction with car park and people selling food and memorabilia. There is a large observation platform and a smaller one near the car park. Look up for migrating birds like Hvepsevåge, Balkan-høg, Sort Glente or local Kongeørn, Alpesejler or Ravn. On the rocks below you can see species like Alpekrage, Alpeallike, Alpe-jernspurv, Murløber and Ringdrossel. Check the grassland for Bjergpiber and Rødpandet Irisk.
