Tourbière de Chastel is a sensitive high-altitude natural area with a wealth of habitats and the opportunity to observe raptors on the surrounding heights. Among the birds you can observe are Rød Glente, Slangeørn, Stor Tornskade, Rødrygget Tornskade, Biæder, Ringdrossel, Sortmejse, Ravn, Bynkefugl and Vestlig Sortstrubet Bynkefugl.
