The ancient salt marshes of Salins de La Palme provide a breeding, stopping and wintering area for many species of shorebirds. Among the birds you can see are Stylteløber, Klyde, Stor Flamingo, Tyndnæbbet Måge, Hvidbrystet Præstekrave, Almindelig Ryle and Rødben.
