Description

Les Îles de la Barques is a wetland area in an old meander of the river Arve. Best to visit when the leaves have fallen for better visibility. Among the birds you can encounter are Rørhøg, Fiskehejre, Knopsvane, Blishøne, Nathejre, Toppet Lappedykker and Tårnfalk.

Access

The area of Les Îles de la Barques is located west of the village of Bonneville. Leave the town of Bonneville and drive through the Tårnfalk fields before arriving at the wetlands, or park in the parking lot near the beaver lake. Press P on the map for directions.
