Le Champ Virlois is interesting for several reedbed species, including Blåhals, Drosselrørsanger, Sivsanger, Dværghejre, Vandrikse and Rørhøg. Pungmejse has been spotted in stopover and crakes are possible.
In the surrounding forests Dompap, Lærkefalk, Løvsanger and Sort Glente are quite easy to see. Triel and Hvinand can be found at the surrounding gravel pits.
