A pond of 17 hectares with two hides where you can observe Sorthalset Lappedykker, Hættemåge, Purpurhejre and Dværghejre in the summer.
The large and small observatories at the Cistude pond offer a view of the 17 ha lake. You can access the large observatory via a pontoon which overlooks the pond. It is only open on the days the Maison de la Nature is open, under conditions. You can acces the small observatory via the car park (also only openen on the opening days of the Maison de la Nature). Observation is recommended in the morning and late afternoon.

Grand observatoire : l'accès se fait par un ponton qui surplombe une mare, ouvert aux jours d’ouverture de la Maison de la Nature, sous conditions. Petit observatoire : accès par le parking aux jours d’ouverture de la Maison de la Nature, observation recommandée le matin et fin d'après-midi.
The Cistude pond and the Maison de la nature are located in the heart of the Brenne. Click on the P in the map for directions. Access to the bird hide is via a pontoon which overlooks the pond. The hide is only accessible from Wednesday to Monday between 10 am and 12.30 pm and closed on Tuesdays.
