Etang de Thau is the largest lake in Languedoc-Roussillon. It is 75 km² and an average depth of 4.5 m. In this part of Etang de Thau near the village of Balaruc-le-Vieux, you have a beautiful view on the Etang de Thau. It's very quiet and good for a very nice walk. Among the birds you can see here are Stor Flamingo, Isfugl, Rød Glente, Fiskehejre and Tornsanger.
