Description
During migration and winter the water bodies can host lots of ducks if they have not been flushed by fishermen or hunters, among which several dozens of Taffeland and Troldand and several hundreds of Blishøne . A rarity such as the Fløjlsand or Bjergand is always possible in winter. Still in winter but above all during October-November and March the wet grassland is a very good spot for Dobbeltbekkasin and Enkeltbekkasin.
In summer typical breeders include Fjordterne and Toppet Lappedykker on the lake, Rødrygget Tornskade in the bushes or Engpiber in the grassland.
In late summer and early autumn when water level drops the south-western water body can be very good for waders particularly Tinksmed or for a Sort Stork stopover. In spring when water level is higher, Sortterne , Hvidskægget Terne or Dværgmåge are regularly seen foraging over water.
