Description
There have been recorded more than 250 birds species. It is a nesting site of the in Silesia rare Skægmejse and there are nesting some other rare birds like Dværghejre , Blåhals and Karmindompap. It is also a popular bird stop during migration time. In Spring you can see there for example Stenpikker , Savisanger , Sorthovedet Måge , Fiskeørn and sometimes even Vandsanger and Tamarisksanger.
During the Autumn migration you can see many species of waders like Almindelig Ryle , Brushane , Dværgryle , Krumnæbbet Ryle , Sortklire , Tinksmed and some other. Also you can observe Plettet Rørvagtel or Vandrikse.
In Winter it is an ideal place for watching Skægmejse and if you are lucky you can see wintering Rørdrum or Bjergirisk .
Various bird rarities were also recorded here: Odinshane , Stenvender , Terekklire , Stor Kobbersneppe , Islandsk Ryle , Stor Sorthovedet Måge , Splitterne , Havterne , Rødrygget Svale , Steppehøg , Sabinemåge , Vandsanger , Tamarisksanger and many others.

Access
The location is inaccessible by car, so it is best to park somewhere in Ostrava and walk to the location or go by bus. I recommend a walk along the western side of the pond. You can make a circle around, but if you want to see some reed birds, it is best to wait near the reeds or go on one of the fishing bridges (but be careful, it can be dangerous).
