A beautiful birdwatching area in the northern Pantanal located directly on the Rio Solobra.
In the northern Pantanal, right next to the Pousada Reino Encantado, there is an observation area with some rare bird species in the middle of an untouched river landscape. In addition to macaws, there are many songbirds to observe up close.
Reino Encantado - Pousada e Flutuação is located in the northern Pantanal, 60 northeast of the town of Nobres and 150 km north of the city of Cuiabá. Press P on the map for directions or coordinates. From the Pousada Reino Encantado you can explore everything on foot. The short circular walk takes about 1 hour, but the adjacent grassland is also home to many birds.
A good time to watch birds is during the dry season between June and October. Most birds breed at the end of May/beginning of June. Since it often rains then, you can expect a lot of mosquitoes.
