Zone d'Immersion Temporaire de la Maladerie attracts many birds that breed in the area and find refuge in the middle of the agricultural plains. The main purpose of the temporary immersion zones is to retain water in the event of heavy rainfall and thus reduce the risk of flooding in the valley. But the area is also designed as a place to watch birds with a wooden pontoon that crosses the water and several hides.

Access
Zone d'Immersion Temporaire de la Maladerie Park is located near the village of Willemeau. From the center of Willemeau (Place de Willemeau - church), head south, rue Dubus. At the intersection, turn left, rue de la Maladrerie. Continue this road for 450 meters and the Temporary Immersion Zone (ZIT) is located on the right. A car park has been provided at this location and allows access to the site. Click on the P in the map for directions.
