During winter and spring the wetland and meadows of Reymere en Paardenweide are good feeding and resting grounds for geese and ducks including Bramgås, Spidsand, Atlingand, Gravand, Pibeand and Krikand. Also many other birds. For example Isfugl, Lille Flagspætte, Vibe and Lille Præstekrave.

You can park your car at the carpark of the GC Groendal in Merelbeke (Brandegemse Ham 5) or see the P on the map. There is also direct bus accces to GC Groenendal from the trainstation of Ghent or Merelbeke.
