Fairly small forest in an agricultural area, part of it is nature reserve.
Mixed forest with some old beech lanes. Woodpeckers like Sortspætte and Lille Flagspætte breed here as well as Duehøg and other birds of prey. In spring you may experience a real concert of song birds: warblers, thrushes, tits, Broget fluesnapper and Fuglekonge, while in winter, there's different species of finches and if you're lucky you may see an Skovsneppe hiding beneath the bushes or gulls, Hedelærke and Vestlig Sortstrubet Bynkefugl on the surrounding fields.
Ideally done by foot, especially the smaller paths that are very interesting. The bigger roads are also ideal for cycling. You can park your car next to the crucifix in the Veldkruisstraat.
