The centre of Yeghegnadzor around Hotel Arpa has several wooded areas where some interesting species may be found.
If staying in the town, birding after sunset or early morning may find several unfamiliar species like Dværghornugle, Karmindompap and Syrisk Flagspætte.
The woods and parks in this part of town are open to public access on foot. One wooded area is adjacent to Hotel Arpa and another, more open, one is about 150 metres north-west from the hotel next to the Cultural Centre and a small amphitheatre. Other urban open spaces may also be rewarding.
After dark, go in a group with torches to pick out nocturnal birds.
