Description

Peterstone Gout has freshwater ponds, tidal mudflats and scrub. A large variety of waders in spring and autumn, passerines including rákosník obecný, pěnice pokřovní, bramborníček černohlavý and bělořit šedý. Other birds you can encounter are volavka stříbřitá, kalous pustovka, raptors and Chřástal vodní.

Access

Short distance south of B4239 between Newport and Cardiff. M4 J30 from Cardiff or J28 from Newport. Very limited parking at south end of Outfall lane, then walk west along/below sea wall for one mile. Otherwise seek parking permission from Golf club, Garden centre or walnut tree farm park nearby.
