Circular walk through mostly coniferous woodland with decidious trees and bushes overlooking a valley with mixed agriculture. Free car park but busy in summer.
Llwyn Hir has a varied habitat with coniferous forest, a disused quarry and pastures. Frequent clumps of decidious trees add extra interest in bringing a variety of birds. Managed woodland with a disused quarry on one side overlooking a valley brings a variety of habitats enhanced by local farming.
Car park between Dreathen and Rudry signposted off A468. Click on the map in the map for directions. Best explored by walking. The circular route indicated on the map is about 1,5 mile (2,5 km).
