Former municipal reservoir that is now a country park. Easily accessible.
Clatto Country Park is a stone sided reservoir that looks uninviting to nature, but still usually holds some interest. The park has woodlands and farmland too.
Year round of interest. Gulls and wildfowl in winter. Breeding grebes and warblers in summer. Passage visitors too. A level path goes around the edge of the reservoir and smaller paths extend into Baldragon Woods and Clatto Moor.
Clatto Country Park is located on the northern outskirts of Dundee, about 6 km from the city centre. There is a bus stop nearby. The area can also be easily reached on foot and bike. Press P on the map for directions to the car park.
