Description
Bishop's Wood is well known for lelek lesní with several males churring throughout from May to July. It also has breeding sluka lesní that can be seen and heard roding late in the evenings. Other nightime avifauna includes puštík obecný and Sova pálená. If you are going for these reasons, plan to arrive an hour or so before sunset to get the lay of the land and spend till at least midnight - don't forget your torch!
During the day linduška lesní, kukačka obecná, drozd zpěvný and other common woodland birds (thrushes, tits, etc.) can be found. Also a good spot for křivka obecná.

Access
Bishop's Wood is located just south-east of Market Drayton. It is easily reachable by car. Click P on the map for directions. If you are going at night, public transport would not be possible, but it is within cycle distance. The walking route shown on the map is about 5 km in total.
