Description
The Kaltbrunner Riet lies like an island in the agricultural area of the Linth plain. It is the last remnant of the marshes that once shaped the area between Lake Walen and Lake Zurich. Especially in spring and autumn, during the bird migration season, many special birds can be observed here in the Kaltbrunner Riet and the adjacent Benkner Riet. It is one of the last breeding areas of the bramborníček hnědý in the Swiss lowlands.
