Description

From the dam of Diga della Pepa you can overlook the marsh south of the Ticino river mouth and explore the south side of the river mouth on foot. It is the only mouth of a river in a lake which has remained in its natural state south of the Alps. The marshes, wet meadows, reed beds and forest are rich in birds. Among the birds you can see here are labuť velká, bukáček malý, slavík modráček, ledňáček říční, Žluva hajní, polák malý, Chřástal vodní, chřástal kropenatý, rákosník zpěvný, datel černý, potápka malá and rákosník velký.
