Description
The big uppside with Stavstensudde may not be the amount of waders but how close you get to the birds. From the shelter one can get a very good view.
During migration from mid april to early june, and late july to early october this is a nice site for watching a good variety of shorebirds. For example kamenáček pestrý, jespák malý, jespák písečný, jespák rezavý, jespák bojovný, jespáček ploskozobý, jespák šedý, břehouš rudý and kulík bledý. Also several pairs of rybák malý are breeding.
Rarities that have been seen here are kulík mořský, Tibetan Sand Plover, vodouš štíhlý, vodouš žlutonohý and jespák skvrnitý.
In winter time islandic vodouš rudonohý and northern kulík písečný and sometimes jespák mořský can be seen.

Access
If going by bus, take number 1 from Trelleborg train staion to Trelleborg Drivgarnet and walk. Unfortunately its a quite long walk but the last bit you can walk by the sea.
If going by car follow road E6 and turn S towards Fredshög and Stavstensudde.
