Description
Before driving on to the bird station, which is located on the southernmost point of the island of Öland, a stop in Ottenby Lund Nature Reserve is worthwhile. Žluva hajní is an annual visitor. Other birds you can encounter are lejsek bělokrký, krutihlav obecný, orlovec říční, luňák červený, kukačka obecná, datel černý, strakapoud velký, strakapoud malý and včelojed lesní.

Access
There are 2 parking spaces, Södra and Norra Parking. The area is fine for exploring on foot. There is a very high bird watch tower. Of course there is a lot of birdlife to see in the forest, but also along the edge you have a lookout over a large wetland (in winter), a large dry plain in summer. Ideal for birds of prey such as ostříž lesní and sokol stěhovavý. The route shown on the map is about 5 km long.
