Description
Landsjön is a lake that is a good resting place with both seabirds, small birds and birds of prey. The reeds offer good protection, nutrient and breeding environments for a wide range of bird species. Within a limited area around the lake, more than 240 bird species have been recorded. Among the birds you can encounter are potápka černokrká, slučka malá, moták pochop, luňák červený, sýkořice vousatá, Chřástal vodní, hýl rudý, slavík tmavý, cvrčilka říční, rákosník zpěvný, strnad rákosní, rákosník proužkovaný and cvrčilka zelená.

Access
Parking is available at Landsjön's bird station on site in the eastern part of the lake. From the road between Huskvarna and Gränna you follow the exit road at Lyckås signposted "Säby 2". Landsjön's field station is located on the left side after about 500 meters. From here there is a walking path to the bird tower. You can also travel by bus 101. Stop at Lyckås.

At Landsjön, ringing has been carried out since 1965. At Landsjön's field station, ringing is currently taking place about 100 days a year and every year between 4,000 and 5,500 birds are ringed. Since its inception, more than 150,000 birds of 142 species have been tagged.
