Shallow lake in an old cultural landscape and one of Småland's most important and species-rich bird areas. At least 240 bird species have been observed.
Draven is a shallow and overgrown lake surrounded wet grasslands and marshy areas. The lake has two bird observation towers and a nice bird hide. The lake has been restored to regain its character as a slow-moving lake with flooding in old cultural landscape. It is an important breeding ground for a wide range of birds, mainly ducks and waders. čírka modrá, Chřástal vodní, bukač velký, hvízdák eurasijský, koliha velká, moták pochop, ledňáček říční, labuť zpěvná and jeřáb popelavý all nest here. Many different ducks, geese and waders also roost here during migration. You can get around the reserve on foot on marked paths, but it is also possible to drive between different bird observation towers, viewpoints and hides.
From the west drive road 153 and 2 kilometers southeast of Reftele community. From the east drive from Värnamo towards Bredaryd road 27/153. There are several parking lots. Click on a P in the map for directions to a parking. The circular route around the lake is about 9 km.
