Secà de Balaguer is a very interesting dryland area of cereal and steppe agriculture. This open, dry steppe‑farmland zone is a great site for observing steppe birds such as the drop malý and the mandelík hajní where steppe habitats and dryland farming combine.

Access
Secà de Balaguer is located on the western outskirts of the town of Balaguer. It is a very large area and although you can park in Balaguer or Menàrguens, it is recommended to do the route by car and make stops along the way. The route shown on the map is about 12 km. Public transport: Balaguer has a train station (1). From the station it is about a 3 km walk/bike to get to the area.
