From the picturesque Puerto de Carril, you can see the nearby Isla de Cortegada. Birds like rybák severní and seagulls often rest on the wooden stakes from the dock. It is not uncommon to see racek mořský and racek žlutonohý. The most frequent are Racek středomořský and racek chechtavý. You can also see racek tříprstý and racek černohlavý. Also terej bílý. The frequency of kormorán chocholatý and Alcidae like alkoun úzkozobý, alka malá or shearwaters makes the place a special place. The terrestrial birdlife is much less interesting, although it does add species to the watch list.
