An area of farmland and woodland to the west of Port d'Es Torrent which has a range of typical Mediterranean species as well as migrants.
The area is a secluded rural haven away from the nearby tourist areas with quiet lanes and tracks threading through local farmland that can be explored easily on foot. The best time time to visit is in the first few hours after sunrise when the birds are most active. Dytík úhorní is present in the fields and orchards in the area. ťuhýk rudohlavý are easy to see perched atop bushes and wires. Lejsek středomořský can be found in wooded glades along many of the roads and tracks in the area and during migration they are joined by lejsek šedý and lejsek černohlavý. Other migrants include bramborníček hnědý and rehek zahradní. Other birds that can be seen in the area include dudek chocholatý, Žluva hajní, hrdlička divoká, chocholouš vavřínový, skřivánek krátkoprstý, pěnice bělohrdlá, zvonohlík zahradní and konipas luční. Scan the hills to the south for orel nejmenší. A circular route of 3 km is shown which should cover most of the species, but the wider area is well worth exploration.
The Port d'Es Torrent area is best explored on foot from Port des Torrent where parking is available. An easy flat 5 km walk should cover most of the available habitat and enable many of the local bird species to be found.
This is a relatively unexplored area of Ibiza which itself is an underwatched island. Please add any sightings to eBird to improve knowledge of the birds in this area.
