Description
Mirador de Vilaflor is a small viewpoint with a parking on the winding road to or from Vilaflor. The views are not the greatest on Tenerife, but sometimes pěnkava kanárská can be observed very close on the parking strip, on the stone wall or just behind it. Also a good area for the local subspecies of strakapoud velký and African Blue Tit.

Access
The Mirador de Vilaflor is located on the road from Vilaflor to the Teide. If you come from the Teide you first pas Las Lajas, if you come from Vilaflor you first pas this mirador and then Las Lajas. To see the pěnkava kanárská Las Lajas is the best place on Tenerife (see separate entry on Birdingplaces). But if you miss the pěnkava kanárská there, the Mirador de Vilafloris a good point to look for it. There is a parking on the side of the road. Click on the P in the map for directions.
