Description
Les Basses d'en Coll is an important wetland reserve with 191 species seen. Winter wildfowl including polák malý, plameňák růžový, slípka modrá, kolpík bílý and Chřástal vodní. Gulls including Racek středomořský. Also volavka červená, rákosník velký, linduška horská, orel jestřábí, jestřáb lesní and sup bělohlavý. Buřňák šedý (ssp. diomedea) and buřňák baleárský offshore. In the fields and trees slavík obecný, mandelík hajní, Chocholouš obecný and astrild vlnkovaný.

Access
Reserve is a 8 km walk south from Estartit along the beach. By car it's 19 km. From the main road between Palafrugell to Torroella, head east at Mas Carles and look for viewing platform. There are campsites north and south. The beach gets busy so summer visits are not recommended. No buses nearby.
